Tillion Build is a residential building company serving the North Shore, Rodney and the wider Auckland region. Founded by Simon Kirk in November 2021, the business focuses on renovations and extensions, recladding and leaky home repairs, new builds, bathroom renovations and minor dwellings.

The people behind the work
Simon is the founder, lead builder and licensed building practitioner. He started building treehouses with his granddad at around nine or ten years old, kept building them at every rental home his family lived in (much to his mother's dismay), and worked through commercial construction, new builds and renovations before founding Tillion Build.
When he started Tillion Build, he had a clear mission - to be the builder he always believed the industry needed. Honest, straight-talking, and uncompromising on quality. In a market full of shortcuts and horror stories, Simon wanted to offer something different: a builder who tells you the truth even when it's not what you want to hear, and who takes genuine pride in the work long after the job is done.
Roughly a decade on the tools later, he still attends seminars, courses and online training to stay current with changing legislation, which he shares what he learns with the wider team.
